We're almost there Tricksters!
That's right, this here (or above, rather) is the 3rd in the 4 part Xmas special Megalo Life serial! Next week will herald the conclusion to this little miniseries and I'm very excited to have survived the ordeal as well as I have… I think, anyway.
So for three weeks, this serial has been going, and we only have one more week to go! As I've said in earlier commentaries, these recent episodes of Megalo Life are a lot bigger/longer than the ones that I think we're used to seeing on the site. But just the same, I'm really happy with how they're turning out, and I think they're a better bit of story telling than the previous shorter entries. So for a recap, Santa and Rudolph have had a run in with La Befana and a few of her more rabid fans, Santa apparently said some things that La Befana fans didn't appreciate and they began to chase after our favorite fatman and flying reindeer. Once they were cornered by the mob, Santa sent Rudolph off to find help, which he was able to procure in this episode. And who does Rudolph turn to in his time of dire need? Ah, but the same powers that all Tricksters should turn to when something truly goes wrong: the Trickster Online Revolution GM's!!!
Now, with the fact that the GM's are making an appearance in this weeks part of the serial, I thought it might be important to note that the identity of one of the GM's should be fairly obvious. Obvious at least to hardcore O/X Quiz aficionados. As for the other GM present in this episode? Well, I think that that would be an interesting course of debate… so who do you think is the other un-named GM who comes to Rudolph's and ultimately, Santa's aid in this episode? If you have a guess, throw down in the comments below. It might also be helpful to build your case with why you've chosen the particular GM's identity ^__^. I'm curious to see which GM you guys think it is.
Next week will conclude this 4 part serial, and bring closure to this little story. Since these come out on Friday, it should be up just before the last big weekend push for Christmas (Xmas, Giftmas, what have you) which I think works out perfectly for this little multi-part experiment. But, it also gets me thinking about all the stuff that will be going on, on the 25th. Most notably, and probably in no small part related to my own selfish instincts, it makes me think of being a kid and writing out the painstaking and strangely sincere letters to Santa. Those little notes, filled with wishes for amazing presents, bad grammar and spelling, and of course a small pleading of one's case that they were indeed, 'good' that year and shouldn't be punished by being put on the Naughty List and of course, being excluded from the all important toys! With these thoughts in mind, and for all the little Santa's everywhere who might ever consider intervening on my selfish behalf, I've provided my short List/Santa letter in this week's sig ^__^. I don't expect to get any of these things of course, but my mum is a firm believer in this holiday, and always tried to get me to believe in Christmas/Xmas/Giftmas miracles… we'll see if there was anything to what she said. Santa(s), you're on the spot, let's see what you can do!
Wintertime cheers,

PS
While April and I are not particularly fond of celebrating this holiday in the traditional sense, within our own home (as we are opt to do, being free citizens of a 'free' country and all) we have put the finishing touches on our specially snagged Halloween tree, readying it for the winter solstice and all related, or 'aped events therein. Personally, I think it's pretty darn snazzy! That's right, I said darn! And most importantly, I think we successfully made it very steampunk-y, which only adds cool points. If possible, I should have some pictures of it that I can share by next week, to be included with the final installment of the Megalo Life Xmas Special! Cross your fingers ^__^.
